Dress right for your Aged Care Placements

Like every work place, Aged care workers also need to follow a dress code. Dress code must be follow for both your and other’s safety.

There a a few things you need to be careful about, but lets start with the basics, Personal hygiene.

  1. Make sure to wash yourself daily.
  2. Use a deodorant.
  3. Make sure to cut your nails, both hands and feet.
  4. No nail polish.
  5. Keep you haircut clean! If you have long hair, you must tie it back.

Now, on to the dress code. Make sure to follow these with no exception, these rules are there for everyone’s safety.

  1. Wear clean clothes
  2. Black shoes, this applies to everyone. NO heels.
  3. Jewelry and watches maybe be allowed, it depends on the workplace. Ask your employer if you are wearing any.

Follow all these tips, and you will make an awesome impression on you first day at work!
